Deana Vanagan joined Artwise Curators in 2007. Prior to joining, she was Assistant Curator of Collections at the Contemporary Art Society where she managed the allocation of over 200 gifts, bequests and purchases of contemporary art to 48 UK museum collections. She co-managed a major fine art commission through the National Collecting Scheme for Scotland, a partnership of six National museums in Scotland, funded by the National Lottery through the Scottish Arts Council. She worked on ARTfutures, and has organised (inter)national professional development trips for curators and collectors. Deana was invited by Austin Enterprises to co-curate their inaugural exhibition Decadence, Decay and the Demimonde. Deana has her Masters in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art - London and received a distinction for her dissertation advocating the importance of independent arts organisations.
