Following a degree in Fine Art (1st) at Sheffield Hallam University, Aoife Rosenmeyer worked in PR and for a UN organisation in Geneva before continuing her studies at the London Consortium (Architectural Association, Institute of Contemporary Arts, Tate Gallery and Birkbeck College) with a full Arts and Humanities Research Board award. She graduated with a Master of Research in Humanities and Cultural Studies in 2002.

Prior to joining Artwise in 2003 she worked for Contemporary magazine, and continues to write for several online and print publications and critical journals.
