The Snow Show

The Brief: UK promotion of the Snow Show, a unique exhibition in Finnish Lapland in 2004 of work made out of snow and ice. In commissioning these ephemeral structures, curator Lance Fung initiated collaborations between some of the world's leading artists and architects, including Cai Guo-Qiang and Zaha Hadid, Tatsuo Miyajima and Tadao Ando, and Eva Rothschild and Anamorphisis.

The Artwise Solution: Working with the Snow Show team and the Finnish Tourist Board, Artwise developed an energetic UK press and marketing strategy, organising a press launch at the Finnish Embassy and generating a wide range of UK and international press coverage. Artwise brought a number of VIP visitors to Lapland, including a group of Tate Patrons, and programmed a series of special events to complement the exhibition launch. For those unable to travel to Lapland, Artwise also organised a symposium about the project in conjunction with the Royal Institute of British Architects in London.
